Energy Cost and Carbon Emission reductions, Utility Bill  handling, Energy security, and compliance with EPR (for Electrical and Electronic Equipment and Lighting Sectors only) and EPC Regulations

Dala is a specialist energy management company, and its primary goal is to assist clients to reduce their energy costs and carbon emissions, improve their energy security, and to comply with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) regulations that seek to improve environmental sustainability. Dala assists to resolve utility bill issues (handling of disputes, identify and recover over-charges, optimise tariffs used for billing, represent client with utility supplier, etc), implement energy monitoring systems to manage and otimise usage and costs, and manage on behalf of clients solar pv and battery storage projects to reduce costs and emissions, and to improve the security of supply. 

Dala assists with regularising and complying with EPR Regulations for the Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) and Lighting sectors, and to reduce or optimise the costs thereof. Dala is authorised to conduct energy performance assessments and issue EPC certificates for buildings that meet the compliance thresholds of the EPC regulations. 

Dala assists clients to manage and report on their environmental ESG initaives.

DALA MANAGEMENT

Andile Mvinjelwa Director - Dala Energy Management

Andile is the Director of Dala Energy Management and holds degrees in BSc Eng (Elec) and Masters in Business Leadership. Andile specializes in energy management and Extended Producer Responsibility, and is a Registered Energy Performance Certificate Professional authorized to conduct energy performance assessments and  issue Energy Performance Certificates for buildings. He was Senior Executive Manager - Extended Producer Responsibility at Waste Bureau, whose mandate includes monitoring and improving industry and EPR schemes in the country. He was also head of the division responsible for the management of the tyre industry scheme on behalf of and funded by tyre Producers under the waste tyre regulations (similar to EPR scheme but with a single scheme for the whole tyre industry). He previously was managing director of a company that manufactured basic and precious metals-based products that supplied locally and to all the continents around the world. He has also worked in consumer goods manufacturing where he occupied engineering positions mainly focusing on engineering project implementation and maintenance of plant. He has been involved in energy management since 2015 and has assisted clients to more effectively manage their energy usage and achieve energy cost savings including in mining, quarrying, hospital, and corporate office sectors. Andile is passionate about assisting clients to improve their energy efficiency and environmental compliance, and make a meaningful contribution to environmental sustainability.
